If I attend an event, will it count toward my course completion?
Some courses allow event attendance to fulfill completion requirements for certain chapters. If you haven’t received completion status, revisit the event details to confirm whether you meet the requirements set for attendance.
What do I do if I lost my certificate from a seminar?
No need to worry! You can reprint your certificate by visiting apps.saftpak.com and navigating to the My Home page.
- Select the Seminar tab under My Training.
- Locate the seminar you attended and click the graduation cap icon.
- Choose Completion Certificate to download your certificate.
How can I prepare for a webinar?
Webinars typically run over two days, with three hours scheduled each day starting at 12:00 PM EST (unless otherwise noted). Log in to your Saf-T-Pak account at least one hour before the start time to ensure you’re ready and can get assistance if needed.
There are two types of webinars:
- Public Webinars: Found under the Events tab in your purchased course. Click View to access the video feed and chat section for interacting with the instructor.
- Private Webinars: Found under the Private Events tab (visible only if scheduled for you or your organization). Click View to join and interact via video and chat.
How do I print my certificate?
After completing your course and passing all required exams:
- Go to the My Home page.
- For Cumulative Courses: Select the Final Exam tab and click Completion Certificate.
- For Chapter-Based Courses: Select the Certificate of Completion tab and click Completion Certificate.
How do I add topics to my certificate?
- Chapter-Based Courses: Passing a new chapter exam automatically adds the topic to future certificates.
- Cumulative Courses: Complete the new chapter and retake the final exam to update your certificate.
I switched employers but still need my certificate—what now?
Your current employer determines the validity of your previous certificate.
What is the difference between a P.A.C.E. certificate and a regular certificate?
A P.A.C.E. Certificate is recognized by the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science (ASCLS) and can be used for continuing education credits. Learn more in our [P.A.C.E. Credits Help Article].
If my course expired, can I still access my certificate?
Yes, you can still view and print your existing certificate. However, you cannot earn new certificates or update existing ones after expiration.
I passed the exam but didn’t get the grade I wanted—can I retake it?
Yes, you can retake the exam as many times as you like. Note: Your grade does not appear on your certificate; only a passing score is required for certification.
Why are some chapters Required, Recommended, Optional, or Disabled?
- Required: Must be completed for certification.
- Recommended: Not required, but adds content to your certificate.
- Optional: Same as Recommended but set by your course administrator.
- Disabled: Cannot be accessed and does not affect certification.
Where can I get a copy of the reference manual mentioned in my course?
Reference manuals can be purchased at shop.saftpak.com.
Why aren’t images or videos in my training course working?
Media issues are often caused by network security settings. Contact your network administrator or try accessing the course from another device or network. Check the Announcements section first to ensure there’s no system outage.
How do I control what topics appear on my certificate?
- Chapter-Based Exams: Complete and pass the chapter exam to add it to your certificate.
- Cumulative Final Exam: Complete the chapter and retake the final exam to update your certificate.
How many training courses can I add to my account?
There is no limit to the number of courses you can add.
Why doesn’t the expiration date change when I retake the final exam?
The expiration date is based on the original completion date and does not reset when retaking exams.
What does it mean if my course is expired?
You can no longer access content or take exams. To regain access, purchase a new product key. If refresher training is available, you can choose that option for renewal.
I added product keys a long time ago, but they don’t appear—where are they?
Expired courses are hidden by default. Update your preferences in Update My Account Settings to view expired courses.
How do I know if my course has chapter-based exams or a cumulative final exam?
Check the Course Settings tab in your course for exam type details.
